The idea behind the brand
Bold Beasties began with a simple frustration: children's clothes were either beautifully made and rather dull, or full of character and poorly made. We wanted both — clothing parents are pleased to buy and children are excited to wear.
The character universe
Every garment starts with a character. Eight animals, each with a personality, a story and a song. The artwork is drawn by hand, then printed at a scale that lets the detail breathe.
Clothing quality
Heavyweight organic cotton, soft-touch prints, flat seams and no scratchy labels. Everything is tested by real children, which is the only test that genuinely counts.
Design process
Illustration first, garment second. We develop the character's world — their habits, their favourite snack, their funny little flaw — before a single T-shirt is drawn.
Responsible production
We work with a small number of audited partners, print with water-based inks, and use recyclable packaging. We produce in modest runs to avoid waste.
Imagination and individuality
Children should be allowed to be peculiar. Our characters are calm, chaotic, over-organised and endlessly optimistic — because so are the children who wear them.
What comes next
More stories, an album of original songs, short animations and a growing Clubhouse of activities. The clothes are only the beginning.
